Portuguese Work and Holiday for 2015/16 closed

As of 30 June 2016, 200 visas have been granted to Portuguese citizens in the current programme year.  The annual limit of 200 places is reached, no more applications will be accepted until the start of the next programme year in July 2016.

Work and Holiday arrangement signed with Hungary

On 24 February 2016, Australia and Hungary signed a reciprocal Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) arrangement. When brought into effect, this arrangement will allow up to 200 young adults from Hungary and up to 200 young adults from Australia to enjoy a holiday in each other's country and undertake short term work and study. 

The Work and Holiday arrangement will not commence until a start date has been agreed by both countries.

The commencement date will be announced on the Department’s website (link http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/462-) and on this website (Australian Embassy Berlin).

Spanish Work and Holiday programme for 2015/ 16 closed as of 18 November 2015

As of 18 November 2015, the Berlin visa office received over 500 applications for the Spanish Work and Holiday programme. This means that the annual limit of 500 places has been reached and no further visa applications will be accepted this programme year. New applications should not be made before July 2016.

Poland-Australia Work and Holiday Maker programme for 2015-16 closed

Due to very prompt and very high numbers of applications received for the 2015-16 Poland-Australia Work and Holiday programme, the programme is now closed. No further applications will be accepted this programme year.
